Jong's Crocodile Farm & Zoo
Jong's Crocodile Farm & Zoo is located at 17miles away from Kuching City (around 20mins driving). This is the admission ticket that you have to wear it on your wrist. For your information (For Sarawakian):

SwInBuRNe PrOM 2009...SoON~..(11.10.2008)
Another prom night coming up again..this year is at the Dewan Undangan Negeri Sarawak..Hmm..sounds nice right? Instead...it is a nice place..It is really like a grand ballroom and very wide.. Remember I went there for the MPO concert..
I wonder how the student council is going to do it this year..Such a huge and grand hall..wads the decorations and everything?hows the program of the night?how many people going?
My own perception of prom night..hmm..its grand..and everyone in their evening gown n partner..something romantic happens..some fireworks at the end..everyone was into the program and not conservative..dunno la...hope something great happen..

MoOnCaKe FeSTIVaL...(Mid-autumm Festival)
The Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節), also known as the Moon Festival, is a popular East Asian celebration of abundance and togetherness, dating back over 3,000 years to China's Zhou Dynasty.In Malaysia and Singapore, it is also sometimes referred to as the Lantern Festival or Mooncake Festival. The Chinese Lantern Festival is held on the 15th day of the first lunar month.
The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the Chinese calendar (usually around mid- or late-September in the Gregorian calendar), a date that parallels the Autumn Equinox of the solar calendar. This is the ideal time, when the moon is at its fullest and brightest, to celebrate the abundance of the summer's harvest. The traditional food of this festival is the mooncake, of which there are many different varieties.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the two most important holidays in the Chinese calendar (the other being the Chinese Lunar New Year), and is a legal holiday in several countries. Farmers celebrate the end of the summer harvesting season on this date. Traditionally, on this day, Chinese family members and friends will gather to admire the bright mid-autumn harvest moon, and eat moon cakes and pomeloes together. Accompanying the celebration, there are additional cultural or regional customs, such as:
* Eating moon cakes outside under the moon
* Putting pomelo rinds on one's head
* Carrying brightly lit lanterns, lighting lanterns on towers, floating sky lanterns
* Burning incense in reverence to deities including Chang'e
* Planting Mid-Autumn trees

Upon the completion of his task, the Emperor rewarded Houyi with a pill that granted eternal life, and advised him: "Make no haste to swallow this pill; first prepare yourself with prayer and fasting for a year".Houyi took the pill home and hid it under a rafter, while he began healing his spirit. While Houyi was healing his spirit, Houyi was summoned again by the emperor. Chang'e, noticing a white beam of light beckoning from the rafters, discovered the pill, which she swallowed. Immediately, she found that she could fly. At that moment, Houyi returned home, and, realizing what had happened, began to reprimand her. Chang'e flew out the window into the sky.

As of today, the hare is still pounding herbs, trying to make the pill. That is why, that night, the moon is full and beautiful.

They found a recipe for the Pill of Immortality. It required 100 adolescent boys to be ground into a biscuit like a pill. Every night he was supposed to grind one boy. On the hundredth night, his wife Chang'e could not bear to watch her husband become the tyrannical dictator for eternity. She prayed to Xi Wang Mu for help. She stole the pill, with Houyi shooting arrows at her, and flew to the moon grabbing a rabbit to keep her company.So the Chinese say that if you look up at the moon to this day you can sometimes see a rabbit making moon cakes.

You may find that the dark areas to the top of the full moon may be construed as the figure of a rabbit. The animal's ears point to the upper right, while at the left are two large circular areas, representing its head and body.
In this legend, three fairy sages transformed themselves into pitiful old men, and begged for food from a fox, a monkey, and a hare. The fox and the monkey both had food to give to the old men, but the hare, empty-handed, jumped into a blazing fire to offer his own flesh instead. The sages were so touched by the hare's sacrifice and act of kindness that they let him live in the Moon Palace, where he became the "Jade Rabbit".

According to a widespread folk tale (not necessarily supported by historical records), the Mid-Autumn Festival commemorates an uprising in China against the Mongol rulers of the Yuan Dynasty (1280–1368) in the 14th centuryAs group gatherings were banned, it was impossible to make plans for a rebellion.Noting that the Mongols did not eat mooncakes, Liu Bowen (劉伯溫) of Zhejiang Province, advisor to the Chinese rebel leader Zhu Yuanzhang, came up with the idea of timing the rebellion to coincide with the Mid-Autumn Festival. He sought permission to distribute thousands of moon cakes to the Chinese residents in the city to bless the longevity of the Mongol emperor. Inside each cake, however, was inserted a piece of paper with the message: "Kill the Mongols on the 15th day of the 8th Moon" (八月十五殺韃子). On the night of the Moon Festival, the rebels successfully attacked and overthrew the government. What followed was the establishment of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), under Zhu. New start!!
It's been awhile since I update my blog..Alot of things has changed..People, matters, situation and lots more..Swinburne has changed too..bigger campus with more classrooms but stil the facilities are the same..2nd week the classrooms door cannot access..light kept blinking..the air-cond so noisy..what to do?subsidise by government ma..what to expect?
Well..It's a new start I think..perhaps I jux hafta get myself used to it..especially people..things has changed..It's nt like b4 anymore..people start trying to avoid everything, scare themselves get into troubles, less smile or greetings, act like stranger, only 'hi' and 'bye'.....I am really disappointed, sad and hurt...who cares right?
Anyway, this is a stage that everyone is going through..Its jux the mater of time (late or early)..Maybe it's good thought from God to let me start a new life..too many unhapi maters happen..I need to live my own life..

Ho..Ho..Ho..Its Christmas time...
Its has been a long time since I update my blog.. Well, I m lazy and spend too much time playing, sleeping and watching movies or dramas. Before that, I had my final exams going on.. So, busy doing revision..hehe...
Joy to the world, the Lord is come~ Silent night, Holy night~ Yay!Its Christmas again~ I love Christmas...Its a celebration of Jesus's birth and greetings season..I love Christmas carol..How I wish Kuching snow so that I can have fun by making snow balls, snowman...Guess it only happen in my dreams..hehe...Recently busy with church Christmas events...My church had a street parade caroling from Jubilee Ground to Golden triangle then back to Jubilee Ground on the 22nd of December..Then on the 24th, we had a christmas night at Friendship park...Various of events on that night...Of course, I will be on the stage...Jux go and find out yourself if wanna know wad m I doin on the stage..hehe..So dun forget to drop by if you are free...

Mo0nCaKe FeStiVaL~
This year mooncake festival is very meaningful to me as compare to the previous years..My church had a celebration at the Friendship Park, Swinburne Choir and Anime Club combined -Moonlight Fever
Mooncake Festival Celebration (22/09/2007)
I was call to act a humour sketch..Its somehow related to the mooncake story but its act in a funny style..All the actors make up their own conversation..Alot of people came but later, there is a heavy rain..Thank God for the rain.The rain was so heavy that people cannot go home that they all squeeze into the cafe house..And because of the rain, all of them are trapped there and they all stay there till the end of the event..
Too bad,Johnson, Ah Yieng, Melvin and Francis came late that night that when they came, the event almost ended. However, we all did play lantern.. This is the 1st time Johnson play lantern I guess.. He so shy ba.. Think that carrying a lantern is a very 'siasoi' matter..Hehe..

That day, everything was in a rush because we had short time to decorate and get things done.Thanks to everyone who help out in the auditoriun..I really appreciate your help..Special thanks to my committee..Thanks Gary (taking photos)..I m so sorry for the people waiting outside the auditoriun.I know its hot..The event starts at 8pm like tat,which is half hour later..However, everything goes well and everyone had a great time I guess..

Last Saturday got National Parade. The parade starts from Jubilee Ground to Padang Merdeka.. I was so glad to be in the parade.. This is the 1st time I join the parade.. Usually I am only the spectator... This year have the opportunity to join, I feel so glad can be part of da participant.. I represent Swinburne University of Technology.. We have 2 groups of people in 1 contingent.. One group from the Anime Club with their fantastic anime costumes & one is from the Swinburne Choir Club...

That day parade was a success that Swinburne's staffs & management were happy for our performane..Great job JUNKERS & COSPLAYERS!!! You will never thought how much fun we had no matter during our practise or during the parade..Its really a wonderful experience..We, Junkers do not have any drum background can play some drumbeats after a month plus of hard practise..

That night..you cannot imagine la...We have to dance before we perform and also after we perform..Jordan stand in front of us leading us do some simple dance steps..The most unexpected thing is that the lecturers who join us more actice than the us,teenagers...Can u imagine that??They dance & shake together with us..Some shake even better than us...WOW!!!They are really sporting la...In the campus they just stand in front of the lecture hall,take a microphone and start lecturing..This is really the other side of them..Its unexpectaed.

2moro Start New Semester...
Remember we are so busy for our final exams last time..it was like just few days ago. Its hard to imagine that 2moro we start our new semester liao.. Of course some people are proceeding and some might be left behind for some subject.. I really dunno how to describe my feeling now.. Happy? Sad?
Perhaps I should say that I am confused..I dunno wads my feeling now.. Kinda like sad because cannot enjoy again.. Stress because hafta really work hard and study hard for my new semester.. I really must discipline myself and better not kidding around.. Everyday must study in library.. Guess u will know where to find me..
What have I done during my semester holiday???
Hmmm... nothing special also... I learnt how to play Naruto & Stomping, watch Bleach (Japanese anime), go Lundu with friends, go Damai with my cousin's family, go out with my secondary school friend, go previous school visit my teachers, go Kuching Festival Food Fair.... Its something like that la... Boring right?

*Sob sob.. >>My Poor Result
I knew my result on Monday (23/07/2007) around 11pm. I was so shock and sad about my own result. I didnt expect that I will do that badly. I know I do better than that but what to do? It has already become a fact. I failed ONE subject!! This made me into deep thought...
I feel guilty towards my parents for paying my fees and hate myself for doin so badly. Perhaps my teacher is right. I am too playful. I dunno if thats my limit or I just do not work hard enough. My teacher told me when I went back and see them on Tuesday morning, 'Judieth you should do alot better. It's just that you are too playful.' Actually my mood was not good at that time but I acted I am okay and stil joke around with my teachers. Her words really like slap me awake. A voice in me said that 'You can be better and just that you are not serious enough'. I guess I had do my best in my exams gua..maybe just a little last minute..
Now I felt that I am so far away from my friends. They do so good in their exams (especially the engineering friend). Congratulations friends!! I felt that I am nothing when compare to you all. Perhaps I really looked down on myself now. I felt that you all are like stars in the sky. I can see you all but you guys are so far away that I cannot reach you people. Actually starting from Degree 1st semester you guys are already like the clouds in the sky (so hard to reach) but now you guys are like the stars far far away from me.
I decided to work hard from the beginning of the semester. I wanna know my real limit is how much. Am I only this stupid or wad...Guess you all are gonna see a new me in coming semester. I wanna do well in my studies on my coming semester. Stop thinking about stupid things and get carried up by some matters, less going out and spend time in the library revising my studies.

20 JUNE 2007
That evening Keith, Avery, Stewart, Abubu, Jonathan, Jordan & me went for Fantastic 4..That day was also Jordan's birthday.Actually we had plan for his birthday, just pretending that we do forget his birthday..That day, most of my engineering frens finished their final exams.we all went for lunch at Expert Jalan Song..At that time, Jordan tried to remind us that its his birthday but we again pretend forget and dont know..He looked so disappointed that time..Maybe not everyone realised that.After lunch,we went to a few places to buy his gift..And that time our purse like all no money..hahahaha...But we r able to get him something in the end..
Jordan didnt even realise that we haf surprise for him there..Keith them arrived but dun dare to go up cos worry will meet us on da way up..everyone parked their car far away from Aldrin's condo and shoes were hide inside the house..The 3 of us went up..when the lift open,da house was very noisy..so i shouted Aldrin loudly so that everyone know we r coming...but...unfortunately when we open the door, i can see ppl run to hide..hahaha...then

Me: Hey..Wanna go supper?Stewart ask..
Aldrin (fake but actually nobody):Oh...ok...where is it?
Me: Stewart...Where to eat supper?
Stewart: Duno..u ask him any idea?
Me: He say he duno where to eat bo...how?
Aldrin: I haf no idea..By the way, I am at my condo la..u ask stewart if he wana come get his TV..
Me: Stewart..u wana go take ur thing at Aldrin's condo take ur thing?
Stewart: ok lar...
Me: Aldrin...we go over take thing now..later baru decide where to eat la...
Aldrin: okok...

Then we all sng birthday song for him..and also Shan Shan on the 18th June...
